2016 Buick Encore Changes, Review

The 2016 Buick Encore is supposed to be coming out sometime in 2015 as a 2016 model. The 2016 Buick Encore is only the second vehicle which uses the global Gamma II platform. The other model is the Aveo/Sonic. This model is 4,280 mm, which makes it just a tad longer than the closest car to it which is the Aveo/Sonic. The trunk alone offers 533 of space with the seats folded up. These specific features will give it amazing off road capabilities.

2016 Buick Encore Changes

Rumor has it that this car will be a mid-cycle refresh. Meaning that the changes aren’t going to be huge and they will mostly be cosmetic. This car is built on GM global compact architecture. This car will mainly be sold in North America and China. Americans have increased in sales by about 14% so everyone is expecting this new and improved edition of the 2016 Buick Encore to be a big seller. A big plus to this car is the space, it offers more space than most cars like it. Three rows of just seating and storage, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Not only does this car have heated front seats it also offers a heated steering wheel. The interior comes in two choices either Choccachino or Ebony. The main change from the 2015 model is all the new technology the 2016 model offers. Including, 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot powered by OnStar, Rear Park Assist, and Rear Vision. This car is defiantly expected to be new and improved. I guess we will just have to wait and see for ourselves.

Some of the changes on the outside of this new model include new headlights, new roof, LED lights, and has also been replaced with a new front. The interiors have been changed around as well. This is a major plus for families considering this car is considered a lot more comfy and safe.

2016 Buick Encore Engine and MPG

A big advantage of the 2016 Encore is it will be good on gas efficiency thanks to a 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder engine. Also with a six-speed automatic gearbox with a manual-shift feature the engine will be able to deliver 138 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque. That makes its drivetrain 25/33/28 mpg city/highway/combined for front-wheel drive, and 23/30/26 mpg for all- wheel drive.

  1. Jim camp says:

It needs an automatic tailgate lift with an inside release, a front seat passenger armrest, an a universal garage door opener in the dash. Also the 7″ screen protrudes up and is an obstruction to the overall view. It needs to be moved down into the dash. If these changes were made I would buy this vehicle in a minute!
