2016 Cadillac LTS Release Date, New

For the new production year, the 2016 Cadillac LTS will have its name changed, in line with the nomenclature change within the Cadillac range, taking on the name Cadillac CT6. This is the weapon that General Motors brings to the fight with the German automakers of luxury sedans, with a target market similar to that of the BMW 7 series and the Mercedes Benz S-class.

The car comes in an aluminum body aimed at reducing the weight of the car. It has got the characteristic Cadillac long hood, with a downward sloped roof as you move towards the back of the car. 2016 Cadillac LTS the car comes with a new slender headlight design that runs along the sides of the front, from about the midway height of the front grill, all the way up to about ten inches along the cars length. This gives the car a rather menacing look. The headlights are, as is now standard, LED. The standard rims issued are arched, with the spokes forming about 225 degree corners inwards. The car has a line running symmetrically along the midsection of the car from the front grill, all the way to the rear bumper.

Inside, 2016 Cadillac LTS has decided to fit 34 small Bose speakers all over the car, with two placed on the headrests of the driver’s and the co-driver’s seats. Each of these speakers measures less than four inches and are placed strategically with the aim of a proper surround experience. According to Bose, the car will have a sound quality of an unprecedented nature. Even then, the option of fewer speakers (a modest ten, and an even more modest eight) is available for the customer who is not inclined towards the 34-speaker sound system. The car comes with with both a rear view camera and a TFT screen display that provide the driver with a 1280 x 240 display. The centre console is asymmetrical, with 2016 Cadillac LTS going for a design inspired by straight edges. the gear control rests at a distance that increases the ergonomic value of the seating arrangement.

2016 Cadillac LTS for the drive-train, the customer will have the option of a 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 engine. This is expected to produce 400 bhp and a maximum of 400 lb-ft of torque. A more economical 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine is also available, with another option of a 335 bhp, naturally aspirated 3.6 liter V6, and possibly a V8 engine availed to the customer. The engines will feature a technology known as Active Fuel Management, whereby some cylinders are not put to use when the driver does not require much power under his sole. The cylinders go into use upon demand. This is aimed at making the car more fuel efficient. The transmission will be an 8-speed automatic gearbox, which drives the rear wheels. An all wheel drive option will be available but at an extra cost to the buyer.

Seeing as it is meant to compete with the BMW 7 series and the Mercedes S-class, it is expected that the car will have a retail price starting from about $70,000, and going up depending on the specifications, with an upper range of about a $100,000 dollars. The release of the model is expected late this year, but precise date is unclear.
