2016 Jaguar XF Interior and Exterior

The 2016 Jaguar XF features advanced wheel-tracking, all-wheel drive and a subtle re-design on the interior and exterior. With an exterior design to rival even the most impressive of sports cars and boasting a turbocharged 3.0L, 6-cylinder engine (with a rumored 2.0L V4 and 5.0L V8 versions due to be released), the 2016 Jaguar XF looks set to take the market by storm. This aero-dynamically designed sedan isn’t just a great looking family car, it’s every inch the luxury performance vehicle too. After learning from its S-Type predecessor in 2009.

The new Jaguar XF also includes the latest AI technology which we’ve all come to know and love. Although the AI technology is similar in functionality to the 2012 XE, the Jaguar team has made a couple of tweaks, including a slightly faster processor. The proportions of the XF are very similar to the 2012 XE model, although the bonnet and grill area have been widened slightly for a broader appearance.  The rear window of the vehicle is also at a less-steep gradient compared to its predecessor, with a slightly longer rear overhang. Overall, the exterior of the XF looks compact, sporty and solid in contrast to the XE’s slimmer aesthetic. Jaguar commented that the difference in body shape and style between the XE and XF is down to customer feedback, with newer customers appreciating the subtle similarities as well as the differences between the two models.

The inside of the vehicle is greatly similar to the Jaguar XE, which was considered the base for improvements during the design of the 2016 XF, although this up-coming sedan features a unique-looking air duct outlet system. The dashboard still maintains the patented Jaguar aesthetic, with sturdy indicator tabs located towards the neck of the steering wheel, and a switch to alternate between sports and economy settings. The gearbox is a revamp of a Range Rover ZF gear change system, with a few clever Jaguar modifications for ease of use when changing gear, and the climate control boasts Jaguar’s dual zone automatic functionality to keep things cool at all temperatures.

Space-wise, the XF features a set of better-packaged underpinnings, which provides more space than the ZE both sideways and when considering leg room, as well as fully fitted leather upholstery as standard for comfort and style.
