2016 Mazda CX-3 Release Date, Review

From 2013 to this day, or since Mazda has launched its successful compact crossover named CX-5, not much has changed regarding the demand for these type of vehicles. If anything, the demand has risen up. The logical step for Mazda therefore, was to introduce a new competitor to the market, one that would retain all the good traits of its previous crossover SUV-s, but come in a smaller package. Enter 2016 Mazda CX-3, a subcompact crossover well worth the time and resources Mazda has spent in creating it. Let us then take a brief look at the newest entry to the Mazda’s crossover lineup.

2016 Mazda CX-3 Exterior and Interior

As a follow-up to CX-5, the new 2016 Mazda CX-3 has rather similar exterior to its predecessor. It inherits the Kudos design language that Mazda is so rightfully proud of, and it looks just stunning. With its elegant, complex curves or sloped roof line, the overall impression that CX-3 is boasting with is nothing short of spectacular.

Interior-wise, Mazda CX-3 offers a nice, stylish, if somewhat compact solution for a crossover. Compact, because it is notably smaller than your usual crossover. But overall, the appearance of the interior that this car shines with would baffle a potential customer, since it looks more premium than its price range would suggest. It is also equipped with all that one would expect from a 2016 crossover, like a standard touch-screen navigation system or the latest infotainment technology.

2016 Mazda CX-3 Engine

Whereas its predecessor comes with two different engine options, 2016 Mazda CX-3 is limited in this regard, since it offers only the 2.0-liter, 146 horsepower engine. However, there is one department in which this vehicle outshines all of its potential competition: and that is the fuel-economy department. The figures that ETA has recently released show that CX-3 is the most economical vehicle in the class of subcompact crossovers, topping the likes of Honda HR-V, Jeep Renegade or Nissan Juke. When it comes to the driving experience, it does not come much better than with this car. Mazda has really pulled all of its tricks in making the exercise of driving all the more fluid and pleasurable. Whether it is the curvy mountain passes or flat city roads, CX-3 handles each of those beautifully.
