2016 Mercedes Metris News, Review

Mercedes has just launched the new version of the 2016 Mercedes Metris in the US and Canadian market. Though the name sounds fairly alien, the automobile is not. The van carries the familiar “Vito” name tag elsewhere. The US market didn’t like the name Vito hence the change to Mercedes Metris, a name which is expected to help the van get more sales.

This system gives customers many options when adjusting tie-down points. It also features 4 strips, two on the floor and one on each wall. To prevent damage from shifting cargo as well as strengthen the sides, the cabin is fitted with panels which are inserted into the wall voids. On the other hand, the passenger van comes with 2 rows each with 3 bench seats which make it possible for the cabin to accommodate 8 people. Each passenger gets a full, three-point harness. The outboard seat on the second row folds forward to allow easy access to the rear row. The passenger van has a maximum payload of 1,874 pounds and a towing capacity of 4,960 pounds while the cargo van has a maximum payload of 2,502 lb and a cargo space of 186 cubic feet. The dashboard is similar on both vans. It is made from hard plastic and features a multifunction steering wheel and a chrome trim. At the front of the cabin, there are two cup-holders at the center console and a storage compartment below. On matters safety, the 2016 Mercedes-Benz Metris comes with enhanced airbags, eight for the passenger van and six for the cargo one. Other standard safety features include a crosswind assist, drowsiness detection and load-adaptive stability control.
