The ASX continues to impress with its looks and the automaker has further added some tweaks on the upcoming model to make it even more appealing. It will come with more curvy lines. At the front, the five- door SUV will feature a bulkier grille franked by redesigned sleek Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights. The rear features taillights whose design has been borrowed from the Pajero Sport. The rear windshield features a chrome trim that sets the vehicle apart from other models. The ASX will ride on new 18-inch alloy wheels.

The 2016 Mitsubishi ASX will have a clean and simple cabin to allow ease of use by the driver and passengers. The dashboard and seats will be upholstered in leather while the remaining features will be covered in premium materials. The cabin which will accommodate five passengers comes with a host of standard specifications including a reverse camera with parking sensors. It also comes with a quality infotainment system and a quality audio system. Other features will include Bluetooth connectivity with voice control, a multi-function steering wheel wrapped in leather, USB ports, cruise control, satellite navigation and an enhanced package of airbags among others. The vehicle has maximized use of the cabin space creating plenty of head and legroom as well as a large cargo space. It has a 442 liter boot which can be expanded by folding the rear seat which has a 60/40 split folding function. The tailgate opens wide for easy access.

The 2016 Mitsubishi ASX drive-train has been redesigned to offer more fuel economy and performance. The model will be offered with the same engine as the 2015 model. This engine is a 2.0 L DOHC petrol engine paired to a CVT system. The engine is capable of producing 136 hp. There are rumors that the model will feature a hybrid drive-train. The engine being talked about is a 1.1 L 3-cylinder turbocharged unit which is combined with an electric motor and a pack of batteries to produce 163 hp.

Mitsubishi has not yet announced the 2016 Mitsubishi ASX official release date or price. However, our sources indicate that the vehicle is already in production and will be released to dealer showrooms before the end of the year. As for the price, we believe the base model will attract a price tag of around $ 24,000 with higher trims costing as much as $ 33,000.
