The 2016 Nissan Kicks was first showcased as a concept vehicle in Brazil at the Sao Paulo International Motor show in 2014. The vehicle design is inspired by Brazilian samba culture and it is a crossover SUV.

The 2016 Nissan Kicks shares a lot of interior details with the Murano. It will have comfortable sand supportive seats and will comfortably accommodate five average sized adults. It will have prime leather upholstery on all it seats. The car will have enough leg and head space to accommodate tall passengers. Its user friendly infotainment system will be centered on a large 7 inch interactive touch screen. In addition, the car will also have features such as ambient lighting, rear camera, smartphone integration, air conditioning and Bluetooth technology among others. The Kicks will have a large mass of storage space.

The SUV has a beefy and aggressive look based on a Brazilian Samba theme. The theme will manifest in the two tone outer color scheme available for the 2016 Nissan Kicks. The soft grey and black theme will be tailored for the corporate world while the brilliant orange color on the rooftop and rims of the SUV will confer a sporty look. It will have a flowing aerodynamic body structure with stylish and sensual lines to complement its overall look. The front headlamps are streamlined and merge with the overall look of the vehicle. The SUV will have redesigned bumpers with an aerodynamic air dam that is linked to air vents on both sides of the car. The sleek SUV will have an iconic roof-line and side sills. The tail lights will be fashioned in the shape of a boomerang and both the head and tail lights will feature state of the art LED technology. The head light design on the Kicks share the same platform with the 2015 Nissan Qashqai. The front fascia of the vehicle will have a set of powerful fog lights, though the traditional V-shape design of the grille will be maintained with the Nissan emblem prominently placed in the middle.

The unorthodox SUV will a wide range of engine options which include a 1.6 liter Flex gasoline powered engine that is shared with the Nissan Sunny and Nissan Versa. The engine will be capable of developing 460 hp and 465 pounds per foot of torque. The engine will be provided with a turbocharged or direct injection option. The SUV will also be available in two diesel engine options, a 1.5 liter or 1.6 liter turbo-diesel variant. The SUV will have great fuel consumption though the figures are yet to be announced by Nissan. Speculation is rife that the 2016 Kicks will be an extremely fuel efficient SUV.

2016 Nissan Kicks the SUV will have redesigned and remodeled front and rear fenders. The body will incorporate a streamlined great airflow framework to aid in the wind flow over the vehicle, thus reducing resistance and improving the SUV’s drag coefficient. The 2016 Kicks will feature overhauled slip guards. The Nissan Kicks will feature outward splinters with a polished chrome trim finish that enhances the cars’ sporty look. This is the first time such an aesthetically appealing feature has been incorporated in the Nissan brand of vehicles. The 2016 Nissan Kicks is slated to launch and released in the Brazilian car market in the first half of the year 2016 and will cost between 50,000 to 60.000 Brazilian Reals. The release date in the American market is yet to be announced and will have an estimated price tag of US $ 16,000 to 19,000.
