2016 Nissan Xterra Price, Review

2016 Nissan Xterra is a Sport Utility Vehicle that is manufactured by the Japanese automobile giant, Nissan Motor Corporation and is made on the Nissan Frontier pickup truck template. It is expected to be an improvement of the current model of Nissan car and it shall be made available in three versions namely: Nissan Xterra PRO-4X, Nissan Xterra S and the Nissan Xterra X. It is designed for easy steering, fuel efficiency, additional comfort and durability. Its design and manufacture is on-going and the vehicle is expected for release towards the end of the year.

The Nissan Xterra shall feature powerful axles, strong chassis, have more weight than its predecessor, enlarged roof, larger fog lamps, better headlights, improved wheel guards and smaller grille. It shall be mounted on a set of sixteen-inch, six-spoke aluminum alloy wheels; shall have four doors and shall accommodate up to five passengers. These changes in the exterior design will make the 2016 Nissan Xterra have a more powerful look than its predecessor. The interior of the 2016 Nissan Xterra shall comprise a 5-inch color audio display, satellite radio, Universal Serial Bus Port, Bluetooth-enabled streaming audio, text messaging services, Mobile applications, improved seat covers, audio system that is supported by Pandora Link, a rear camera and six air bags.

The Nissan Xterra will have a 4.0 liter V6 engine that shall be capable of producing 265 horsepower of energy at 5,600 revolutions per minute and 281 pounds/foot of torque at 4,000 revolutions per minute. There is likelihood that it will also incorporate a Cummins Diesel motor. The 4×4 drive version will have a six-speed manual transmission system whereas the FWD shall have a five-speed automatic transmission and both versions shall be able to accelerate from 0 miles per hour to 62 miles per hour for between 7.2 seconds to 7.4 seconds.

The average fuel consumption of the X and S versions is 16 city/22 hwy miles per gallon whereas the PRO-4X is expected to have a fuel consumption of 16 city/20 hwy miles per gallon. In addition, the Nissan Xterra PRO-4X is equipped with a “Hill Descent Control “ feature that aids drivers while reducing height and a “Hill Start Assist” which aids drivers while gaining height, rack road-off and off-road lights and Bilsten off-road performance shock absorbers.

2016 Nissan Xterra Price and Release Date

The price of the 2016 Xterra will be around $31,000 for the Nissan Xterra PRO-4X, around $26,000 for the Nissan Xterra S model and $24,000 approximately for the Nissan Xterra X model respectively. It is expected to be released in the second half of the year 2015.
