The biggest changes for the new Porsche 911 are expected under the hood. When it comes to engine offer, it is expected to include 3 engines. Base engine will now be a 2.7-liter turbo flat-six. It is expected that this new engine will produce around 400 horsepower, which is around 50 hp more than the current unit produces. Fuel economy rates are expected to be improved as well. With new engine 2016 911 should deliver around 30mpg. Second engine in the line-up is a turbo 3.4 flat-six. This is also a new one, replacing the current naturally aspirated 3.8-liter unit. Previous engine delivered 400 hp and those rates should be bigger, and will probably follow the power increase of the base engine. However, top trims will keep their naturally aspirated 3.8-liter turbo flat-six engine.
