2016 Porsche Panamera Release Date, Changes

The release of the newly-designed 2016 Porsche Panamera has been confirmed. However, the specific details about the car are slowly emerging to the public and Porsche has done a fairly good job at keeping it somewhat of a secret. 2016 Porsche Panamera Changes

Although Porsche Panamera has decided to keep with the general body shape of the previous model, the 2016 Porsche Panamera will see quite a few changes made to the exterior of the vehicle. Overall, the body of the Panamera will boast a lot more curves than the previous model. To lighten the load, the body will be comprised of several different materials including light weight aluminium. This lighter body weight should really help with the overall performance of the vehicle and improve both speed and efficiency. The front fascia of the car will have newly redesigned headlights and LED lights integrated into the bumper. In addition, the rear of the car will come with all new LED tail lights and a newly designed rear slope to give it a more refined look. The interior of the vehicle has only been revealed in bits, however it looks just as roomy and comfortable as the previous model. Additionally, the new interior is rumored to be of a slightly more simplistic design than before, making it more ergonomical and useful to the driver.

2016 Porsche Panamera Engine and MPG

The new Panamera is expected to come with both V6 and V8 engine options with the continued sale of the hybrid option. The newly developed engines will range from a turbo diesel V6 all the way to a twin turbo V8 that will probably put out more than 600 hp. Since the hybrid for the previous generation was considered somewhat heavy, Porsche has decided to improve the overall battery technology to decrease weight and up the performance. Even though sports cars are generally not known for the great fuel efficiency, you should expect the all new Panamera to range somewhere between 16 and 27 mpg, which is exceptional when you consider that this a Porsche.
