Judging from the recent sightings of the car during road tests, the 2016 Scion FR-S will feature some new aerodynamic components such as an extended front splitter and rear wing. You can also expect to see the hood being vented, and it seems like the car is going to be manufactured using carbon fiber. It is still unclear whether this design is for purposes of testing, or maybe Toyota is in the process of unveiling a spectacular upgrade of the Scion FR-S.

Toyota is reportedly pushing hard for a four-door version of everyone’s new rear-drive coupe by 2016. But that is only if Subaru are on board with the plan. According to reports, Scion is planning to unveil a sedan version of the FR-S, but the plan still hinges on Subaru agreeing to be part of the project. You can also expect to see a lighter car thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber. What is not in doubt is the fact that the coupe and convertible versions of the 2016 FR-S will undergo some major remodeling. The basic design will be maintained, but you can expect some few tweaks, including making the car appear more aggressive by giving it a masculine look and improving its aerodynamics. The dimensions of the vehicle will be 187 inches in length, 70 inches in width and a height of 55 inches. You can expect modern equipment in the 2016 Scion FR-S, including a navigation system, keyless ignition, dual vanity mirrors, AM/FM stereo with 300 watts stereo output and 8 speakers. Bluetooth connectivity is also available.
