2016 Toyota Sequoia Changes, Engine

2016 Toyota Sequoia is classified as a full size SUV. It is a very important vehicle for Japanese Automobile manufacturers Toyota. First model was launched in 2011 and since then it has been one of the most popular full size SUV in many parts of the world. It is built on the same platform as Tundra, the pick-up truck from Toyota. In North America it is very popular. People who want larger version of Toyota 4Runner go for this one. The 2016 Sequoia will have some added features which were missing from the previous ones. Several changes are being made to the 2016 Toyota Sequoia in order to cope up with the forever expanding market in Full size SUV. Sales have been pretty good but there have been no significant rise in sales, therefore Toyota is looking to make some major changes.

The design of Toyota Sequoia can easily be termed as futuristic. The front portion would be redesigned with a large chore mask ahead. The newly designed headlights would be bordering the entire vehicle. There would be mini plates present at the bottom of the vehicle in order to protect the chassis from any major shock. There would be aluminium bumpers and large wheel base among other features. The paint would be protected by an extra layer of film strip on the hood, the fenders and the bumpers.

On the interior Toyota is very finely designed. It provides a lot of comfort for long distance journeys also. Higher trim version would be equipped with leather seats consisting of internal heating. The central panel would come with a 9 inches touch screen which would contain major driver’s information. There would also be a state of the art infotainment system. There would be other features such as GPS navigation, cruise control, power windows, etc.

2016 Sequoia would come with two powerful engine options. Firstly there would be a 4.7 litre V8 engine. This engine would generate power of nearly 282 HP and 302 lb-ft of Torque. There would also be a 5.7 L V8 engine which would generate 380 HP and 400 lb-ft of Torque. The Fuel economy might be a concern for some as it rates 13/17 mpg in city/highway. The vehicle would also come equipped with a 6 speed automatic transmission system. Final price of the vehicle hasn’t confirmed as of yet.
