2017 Infiniti Q30 Review, Interior

Scheduled to debut in a few days, the 2017 Infiniti Q30 has been designed to lure a generation of premium buyers. It’s the first time Infiniti is entering the premium-compact segment market globally. According to the company’s spokesman, the global markets will get a variety of powertrain options like the 6-speed manual transmission and a 1.6 liter four cylinder engine. Infiniti the car’s uniqueness is likely to attract younger customers.

The Infiniti Q30 cannot be classified as a coupe, hatchback or a crossover. However, Infiniti enthusiasts should expect a kinked C-pillar, a sloping roofline and sweeping character lines. The Q30 will have five doors with the rear door panel being slightly longer than the front. Large alloy wheels sit comfortably on trimmed openings.

The door panel switch gear and the steering wheel are some of the recognizable features inside the 2017 Infiniti Q30. Drivers will also enjoy the uniquely shaped dashboard, power seat, climate control buttons and the two binnacle instrument cluster with a digital trip. The wood trim and abundant trim add some touch of elegance to the Q30. Seats are stitched in leather and they are raised to give the rivers a clear view out of the car. There will be three trims mainly sport, premium and base. The 2017 Q30 has an all-around view monitor360 degree camera system, self parking, blind spot warning, automatic pre-collision braking and moving object detection. In addition, the Q30 will have an adaptive cruise control and automatic high beam headlights. The car radar sensor has been placed at the front to avoid poking issues.

Under the hood you can expect a 2.0 liter, four cylinder engine with a 208 horsepower. U.S residents will have access to the front wheeled version and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Furthermore, Infiniti has added an active sound enhancement feature that reduces the muffling noises and engine sounds. Urban drivers will appreciate the electric assist power steering which is said to be accurate and light. The premium and base 2017 Infiniti Q30 have a suspension tune for added comfort. The sport version is 0.6 inches lower for eager drivers. Fuel efficiency is around 25/34 mpg. For a grim inducing driving experience, the Infiniti will have a torque of 250 lb-ft with a 220 horsepower.

The Infiniti Q30 is set to debut Mid -September. Although official report on the pricing has not yet been releases, the Q30 is expected to retail at $30,000. With competition from Audi and BMW, the Infiniti is expected to perform well as a luxury sedan.
