2017 Koenigsegg Regera Released, Engine

Many Automobile companies have already started planning for the year 2017, one of them being Koenigsegg which has many plans in store to amaze its loyal fans. The Swedish Company – known for manufacturing some of the most successful models such as the Agera and the CCX – plans to dominate the sports car industry with their 2017 Koenigsegg Regera, which will be a sort of redesign of the 2016 version. It will be one of the few hybrid supercars manufactured by the automobile company, and if you (by any chance) haven’t been impressed by previous models designed by 2017 Koenigsegg Regera, this model will certainly have numerous positive impacts on you.

The 2017 Regera’s body will appear, to some extent, as a remodeled Agera. The model will receive a set of new headlights and a much deeper aerodynamic splitter which should provide more downforce and reduce the drag force on the vehicle significantly. The rear will have a few variations, a pair of new LED taillights being one of them. The Regera will ride on graphite wheels: two 19-inch ones on the front and a pair of 20-inch ones at the back; it will have a couple more air intakes, rear view mirrors and a cool set of doors.

Inside the Regera, there will be a redesigned middle console and a set of air conditioning ports intended to create an amazing environment inside it. Truly remarkable for a car meant to provide the utmost comfort to its riders. The car will most likely feature WI-Fi connectivity and a great sound system as well.

2017 Koenigsegg Regera Engine

The 2017 Koenigsegg Regera will be powered by a 5.0 liter V8 engine together with 3 electrical motors, which will in combination produce an output of well over 1500 Hp and 2000 Nm torque. This will enable the supercar to move from 0 to 400 km/h in a mere 20 seconds, and it will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 2.8 seconds. The Regera’s electrical units will be coupled with the 2017 Koenigsegg Regera Direct Push transmission (instead of the usual multi-gear transmission system) which will connect the engine and the car’s wheels by use of a single-speed reduction gear and hydraulic coupling system. This means that the 2017 Koenigsegg Regera will reach its maximum speed at only 8,250 rpm and will practically have only one gear.

2017 Koenigsegg Regera Release Date and Price

2017 Koenigsegg Regera plans to release only 80 copies of the Regera, which is quite a lot for a company that has assembled only 130 cars in total. Actually, the alpha copies of this model have already been sold in advance to the regulars. Each Regera will be sold at approximately $1.7 million, and its production is set to begin in late 2016.
