2017 VW Tiguan Released, Redesign

The second generation of VW Tiguan is much bigger, more mature and even more premium. The vehicle will be the first SUV based on an MBQ platform from the VW group. The second generation of 2017 VW Tiguan will now enter the highly contested compact SUV segment with competitors like Mazda CX-5 and Toyota RAV4.

The 2017 VW Tiguan exterior’s is notably sporty and it is expected to be much longer, wider and lower than its predecessor. 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan’s front has been completely redesigned with a new lower grille which features LED daytime lights. The 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan will have a larger lower grille and offers a trapezoidal shaped design in addition to three bars that run along the width. The vehicles headlights have also been redesigned and will flow with the upper grille’s new lines. 2017 VW Tiguan side profile will almost be the same as its predecessor but with new redesigned lower doors. The vehicle’s back rear window has been squared off. The boxy tailgate look has been replaced LED accents and shapely lines that flow from the front to the end giving the SUV an angular appearance compared to soft rounded edges of the previous models.

The car’s interior has been improved and is roomier. There will be an additional third row of seats for vehicles in the US and china. The rear seats furthermore can be adjusted longitudinally and be asymmetrically split offering more leg space. The seats adjustment can also be used to create more cargo space. The Volkswagens interior is thought to have a completely new tech upgrade. The traditional gauge cluster will be replaced with a 12.3 inch digital display. An expected new safety feature, a multi-mode control system will help provide off road alerts. The steering wheel has been redesigned but still retains its button layout feature.

The engine shows efficient gains and will be powered by the Volkswagen’s familiar 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine that is four cylindered in addition to six speed dual clutch transmission plus an integrated motor. The vehicles fuel economy is thought to be 24% up compared to the previous engines. The new model is expected to have 30 mpg on highways with a combined 215 hp. Additionally a user has a choice of using between an all-wheel drive and front wheel drive.

2017 VW will hit the streets of Europe on the fall of 2016 with the compact cross-over arriving in US and China markets in 2017. The car’s pricing starts from $24,000.
