2017 Tesla Model Y Exterior and Interior

The 2017 Tesla Model Y will be a crossover Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and will be slightly larger in overall size than an ordinary sedan vehicle. In spite of this, the vehicle will be radically smaller than a conventional Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). The 2017 Model Y will be available in a 5 door version. The door designs will be based on falcon door technology, a typical feature of the pre existing Model X. It will sport stylish alloy rim wheels with overall aerodynamic lines that will radically reduce the coefficient drag of the vehicle. The front and rear tail lamp assemblies will feature Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology.

The 2017 Tesla Model Y interior will also be based on the current model X, though it is expected that it will have two seating rows. It will have less cabin space and legroom than its predecessor though it will probably maintain the same level of creature comforts. A typical feature of the 2017 Model Ys’ interior will be the large touch screen dashboard display.

The 2017 Model Y drive train will centre on a similar electric motor used in the Model X and power will be derived from Lithium ion batteries. Tesla intends to incorporate lithium ion batteries as its primary choice in its future vehicle releases. The drive train of the Model Y will be capable of developing at least 400 brake horse power (bhp). The batteries will have a capacity of 70 kWh and will be expected to give the vehicle a range of at least 200 miles. Other battery options to power the motor will include a standard 60kWh battery or a more high performance oriented 85 kWh battery with an output of an impressive 700bhp. The 2017 Tesla Model Y will achieve 0-60 miles per hour in an estimated 6 seconds. It will have a remarkable top speed of 155 miles per hour. The 2017 Tesla Model Y will not be powered by conventional fuel and will be entirely reliant on electric power from integral 70 kWh Lithium ion batteries. The high capacity batteries will ensure that the vehicle has a driving range of an estimated 200 miles.
